    diaper.

4. Keep the diaper on for 30 minutes after defecation.

    defecation is possible.

2) For healthy communication
One must maintain smooth communication with the client throughout the day while respecting the client’s independence and dignity. Some patients may not be able to communicate easily due to their disabilities, therefore, the goal is to not move hastily and try to understand the client’s intention. Even if it takes a little extra time, it is necessary to be creative and incorporate various methods and means according to the characteristics of each client (e.g., dials, picture cards, communication devices, etc.).

3) Stance required for visiting care for persons with severe disibilities

The characteristics of “visiting care for persons with severe disibilities” are as follows

1. Due to the high level of needs of clients who suffer from severe disabilities, it is the caregiver’s job to act as their “hands and feet” in providing services.

2. The service is provided for an extended period of time. In some instances, some clients may require escorts for outings or overnight care.

3. In addition, some clients require medical care, and some need 24/7 nursing care to keep to live.

As you can see from the above, staff working with clients with severe disabilities have immense responsibility to take care of their clients, however, the work is very rewarding. The most important take-away is to be there for the clients who need help to live their daily lives, and to create a safe environment for them so that they can overcome any inconvenience they may experience.
